Today was an extremely challenging day, I likened it to day 2 of the Inca Trail which was tough. It was a long hike of 9 hours to Namche climbing 600m.
Before lunch we went down 200m so after lunch we had to climb 800m to reach Namche. The hills just did not seem to end and were relentless it was literally one small step at a time. I was physically spent by the time we reached Namche.
We did see some amazing scenery along the way though we were walking along with the river at out side and the massive mountains above. Encountered lots of fellow trekkers today so the saying that the base camp trek is like a highway came to fruition.
We made it to Namche which is a beautiful little town nestled into the side of a hill. The accommodation isn't too bad here. Tomorrow is a rest day so looking forward to that.
