Day 12 - Kyangjuma to Monju Chumoa

Woke up today after a fantastic sleep and felt great. This may have something to do with the fact that not only was the hard trekking behind us, but with every step we were closer to home.

Again we were greeted with superb weather so we sat out in the sunshine for breakfast overlooking Ama Dablam. I said to Ant, not many days in your life would you eat breakfast with a view like this.

After breakfast we made our way towards Namche which was only about 1.5 hours. Spirits were high within the group.

We arrived in Namche and spent some time in the cafe, enjoying some great coffee and hot chocolate and just chilling out while we had some spare time. Len spoke to Kelly and was quite emotional which was very heartwarming as it speaks volumes to how close a bond he has with his daughters.

We bought a few souvenirs from the locals and hit the trail towards Monju. We passed a lot of people coming the other way, glad we were coming down instead of going up!

Just a random white horse wandering around. Ama Dablam in the background
